What is Natural Word?

Natural Word

Natural Word is an add-on for Microsoft's Word that lets you control it using your own words. Imagine being able to just type what you want, like 'create table' or 'make the text big', instead of hunting through menus. Sounds pretty cool, right?

Easy Commands

No need to memorize commands! Just hit the `/~` key, and a pop-up appears where you can type whatever you need. The system understands almost anything you say! Want blue text? Just type 'blue' or 'make the text blue', and boom! Done!

Type What You Want

Natural Word is all about making life easier. Instead of getting lost in Word’s complicated menus, this tool translates your requests into actions that Microsoft Word can understand. For example, if you want to underline something, just type 'underline' or even 'draw a line underneath the text'. Easy peasy!

No More Complex Syntax

You won’t have to remember tricky commands anymore. Natural Word is like having a translator between you and Microsoft Word, helping you express what you want without all that memorizing hassle.

Requirements

To use Natural Word, you'll need:

  • Microsoft Word 2000 or 2003

  • At least 512 MB RAM

  • .NET Framework 2.0 (and dotnetfx if needed)

Limitations to Keep in Mind

This tool does have some limits:

  • You can only use features that already exist in Microsoft Word.

  • If there are bugs in Word, they’ll still be there.

  • Not all of Word's features are available yet; around 80% is implemented.

  • When searching or replacing text, remember to put double quotes around it (like find "someText").

  • A few popular font styles are defined; however, non-standard fonts aren't supported yet.
