Network Inventory Reporter is a super handy software tool that helps you collect all sorts of network-related info from remote machines. This includes things like program groups, services, processes, and even Windows Updates. It's packed with features that are user-friendly, so you won’t have to spend ages figuring it out!
The installation process? It’s a breeze! Just give it a few seconds, and you’ll see a large window pop up. The interface is set up in a simple way, split into two vertical frames that make navigation easy.
As soon as you launch the program, it automatically starts scanning your local area network (LAN) to find computers. But remember, you’ll need to have your remote user account settings sorted out first—this means knowing the PC name along with the username, password, and domain.
You can dig deep into system details like the operating system version, service pack level, serial number, processor type, motherboard info, BIOS version, physical memory stats—you name it! You’ll also see information about video controllers, desktop monitors, disk drives, network adapters, printers, USB devices, and sound devices.
You can keep an eye on active services and processes too! Plus, you'll be able to find program groups and network shares. Want to know about OS updates or startup apps? It’s all there! And if you need to take a closer look at this data later on? You can easily print or export it.
The cool part is that you can customize how each component looks for better readability. For example: add the current date or time next to the OS info or even include comments. You can also add new remote machines to your list or change login credentials if needed.
We didn’t run into any stability issues during our tests; Network Inventory Reporter ran smoothly without crashing or throwing error messages. It barely takes up resources too—low CPU and RAM usage means your computer will keep running just fine!
It’s worth mentioning that this software hasn’t had an update in a while. Still, Network Inventory Reporter is great for gathering useful information about remote computers on your local network.
