NNote is a user-friendly word processing tool designed to take the place of the default Notepad application that comes with Windows. It's perfect for beginners and anyone who wants something simple.
The interface is super familiar and easy to navigate. You can open plain text documents using the file browser, but just a heads up, dragging and dropping files isn’t an option here.
With NNote, you can cut, copy, paste, and select all your text. It also lets you enable word wrapping mode and change font styles, sizes, background colors, and text colors. That’s pretty much it for features!
This app is great when it comes to using low system resources. It responds quickly, supports keyboard shortcuts well, and we didn’t run into any freezing or crashing during our tests. But keep in mind that it has very limited features overall.
One thing we noticed is that while the undo and redo functions work perfectly with hotkeys, clicking them in the "Edit" menu didn’t do anything. A bit frustrating if you ask me!
We also found out that we couldn’t access the help file because that option wasn’t clickable at all. So if you need help while using NNote, you're kind of on your own.
In short, NNote might not be suitable as a complete word processing tool or even as a Notepad replacement since it lacks many useful features. If you're looking for something more advanced with more options to play around with, you might want to check out other software available here.
