NoCab Desktop is here to make your life easier when it comes to transferring files between your computer and smartphone. If you've ever tried sending files via email or dealing with cables, you know how messy it can get. NoCab Desktop is a small application that wants to change all that!
This handy tool is portable, which means you just need to unzip the file and grab the mobile app on your smartphone to start using it. However, there’s a catch: right now, the mobile app only works for Android devices, and there’s no plan for an iOS version anytime soon. Also, you won't find this app in the Google Play Store; instead, you'll need to download it from GitHub.
Once you have both apps set up, you’ll see a clean interface with two main sections. One shows details about your paired mobile device while the other displays info about your PC and network. To transfer files, just hit ‘Choose file’ in the Sender section and select what you want to send. The best part? You can send multiple files at once!
Worried about privacy? Don’t be! The transfer happens directly between your devices without any third-party servers involved. This means your data stays secure. You can also set up communication through specific ports for added security. Just be careful when changing those settings as it might cause issues if not done right.
If you're tired of carrying around cables or using slow methods to send files from your computer to your phone, give NoCab Desktop a shot! It could really streamline how you share files.
