With no installation to take any of your time, patience, or effort, the application is good to go from the moment download is done. This allows you to carry it on a thumb drive to use on other computers, without affecting any system registry entries. However, you do need to make sure that the target PC is fitted with Java Runtime Environment.

The workspace is fitted with a side navigation panel. Here you can create a custom library of folders, subfolders where you can easily keep all notes, and documents of interest in a well-organized manner. Moreover, the actual text pad supports multiple tabs, giving you the possibility to work on more documents at a time.

However, edit options only consist of basic operations. As such, you can copy, cut, or paste text in other locations, find strings of interest, and even replace multiple entries in your documents, with the pair of undo/redo functions to help you fix any instant mistakes.

When it comes to file support, the application can only work with plain TXT files. This also has an impact on font customization options, which are automatically limited to a few different fonts, size specification, and option to bold.

Some extra tools can be found as well, although they don’t have a great impact on your work. On the one hand, a few skins can transform the interface into something easier to blend with your desktop. On the other hand, text snippets can be saved so you can quickly insert large strings later on.

Bottom line is that text editing is an important computer activity, and Note King provides a simple environment, with several features to offer comfort when handling multiple notes, or documents. These can be organized in custom folder structures, while tab support allows reading, and editing of multiple files at a time.
