When you open up NoteKit, you'll notice it has three panels all in one window. In the center, you have your typing area. On the sides, there are two sections: one helps you organize your notes in a tree structure and the other lets you pick different pen tools, shapes, and colors.

Creating Notes Made Easy

If you want to create a new note, it’s super simple! Just double-click on the + button in the left panel and give your note a name. Want to make a folder? Do the same thing but add / at the end of your title. This way, it'll show up as a folder where you can stash even more folders or notes!

No Drag-and-Drop? No Problem!

A little heads up: you can’t drag and drop to order your notes. They automatically get arranged alphabetically. But here’s a neat trick: if you don’t want that order, just add a number before your note's name! That way, you can control how they appear.

Add Some Creativity

One standout feature is adding hand-drawn notes! If you're into using drawing tablets or touchscreens—or even just want to doodle with your mouse—this is perfect for you.
