There are numerous note-taking apps out there, yet if you are still looking for the right one for you, you can try Notepack.

The main window of Notepack is meant to be as straightforward and user-friendly as possible. This is why it is not only neatly organized and intuitive, but also minimalist and customizable.

You can start by experimenting with the sample workspace and note, although you should not encounter any issues in getting familiarized with the app.

You can start by creating a new note or checklist, then add relevant content. Alternatively, you can load an entire folder to a newly-created workspace and preview documents like CSV, PDF, XML and images.

When creating a new note, you can use Markdown syntax, then preview both the source and the output in a side-by-side display. You can disable this mode by simply clicking the dedicated button.

Since there is no built-in list with the supported commands, you need to rely on your own knowledge to turn your text bold, italic, underline or create bulleted lists. Unfortunately, there are no alternative ways to format your text via a dedicated toolbar or a menu.

Unlike similar note-taking utilities, Notepack offers you the possibility to assign color highlights to your workspaces. This makes it easy for you to identify which open tab belongs to which workspace without needing to bring it to the foreground.

It is worth mentioning that when you create a new workspace, you can protect its content with a password. On the downside, you cannot change or remove this password in the future, so you need to make sure you will remember it.

To wrap it up, Notepack might seem a little bit rough around the edges, but it has the potential to meet all your requirements in terms of organizing notes and designing to-do lists.
