NumCuts is a handy tool that offers shortcut creation for accessing various parts of one's system. The catch with this tool is the perk of mixing the NumLock and CapsLock buttons along with any other keys, hence the name.
The app is C++ based, and its interface might seem a bit odd for such a program. While it has a CMD point of origin, NumCuts manages to bring a UI to the table, yet the browser layout can be confusing at times. However uncommon that might be, the accommodation time is short.
First, one should launch the NumCuts executable in order to choose the button the shortcuts will work with. Type 1 for NumLock or 0 for CapsLock and hit Enter. Let the CMD window do its job and then open the NumCutsGUI EXE.
Use the interface to set up your shortcuts. The program has a wide coverage of processes. Use strings, file sources, or URLs to create hotkeys. Check your active shortcuts by scrolling down. Remove or edit the combinations at will. Closing the GUI after setup will not cancel the hotkeys.
NumCuts could be a handy method of speeding up your PC routine. Create all types of shortcuts for all kinds of processes, having the possibility to use Num or Caps buttons. Overall, it is not a difficult tool, yet is tougher than entry-level apps.
