Opened Process Manager

Opened Process Manager is an intuitive application you can use to find out the currently running processes in your drives. It comes packed with several handy settings that can be easily configured, even by users with little or no experience in such tools.

The interface is user-friendly, made from a standard window that displays all options put at your disposal. You can pick a disk drive from the drop-down menu and ask the app to check it for all running processes.

These are immediately shown in this panel, so you can check out the full path and name of each process, in addition to the total items.

It's possible to select one or more entries from the list, in order to terminate all processes with the click of a button. There are also options available for reloading the drives and for making the frame stay on top of other windows.

The downloaded package includes not only a setup package for installing the program, but also a portable version that can be saved to a removable storage unit to directly launch Opened Process Manager on any computer.

However, it's not exactly standalone, since it requires .NET Framework to work properly. It doesn't add new entries to your system registry or create files on the HDD without asking for permission, though.

The program didn't put a strain on the computer's performance in our tests, thanks to the fact that consumed a low amount of CPU and memory. It remained stable throughout our evaluation, without triggering the OS to hang, crash or indicate errors.

To conclude, Opened Process Manager may not have a particularly rich set of options and configuration parameters, but it delivers a simple and effective solution to discovering and terminating currently running applications. It's free and easy to use by anyone.
