Getting Started with Examples

OpenSCAD comes with a few examples to help kickstart your projects. While writing code is pretty straightforward, keep in mind that syntax highlighting isn't supported in this version.

Compiling Your Projects

When you're done with your project, you can easily reload and compile it—either automatically or manually! You can also display the AST (Abstract Syntax Tree), CSG (Constructive Solid Geometry) tree, and even export your work into formats like STL, OFF, DXF, CSV, or PNG. Plus, flushing caches is a breeze!

View Options

You've got options! With OpenSCAD, you can view OpenCSG or CGAL surfaces or grids only. You can also show edges and axes or enable animations. Want to hide the editor or console? No problem! You can even toggle between perspective and orthogonal views.

User Experience
