Software development can benefit from properties and techniques that allow for the agglutination of multiple applications under the same “hood”, especially when dealing with multi-scalar environments and projects that require interoperability. This has led to the creation of the OSGi (Open Service Gateway Initiative), which basically represents a Java framework specification that facilitates the development and deployment of modular software and libraries, all within an open-source context.

OSGi.fx is an application that was created in order to provide users with a desktop client that will allow them to manage and control OSGi frameworks remotely, from their local machines. This Java-based software will provide its functionality through a console that features a series of tabs, which distribute the different tools and features used for monitoring the apps.

Consequently, one will be able to preview the daily stats in the main overviews, such as date, runtime information, threads used, bundles, and memory load. Detailed, segmented information is also provided for the other aspects, pertaining to bundles, packages, services, components, events, and much more.

Aside from the aforementioned components, the application also holds a detailed log of the events and undertaken actions, which can be accessed at all times by navigating to its corresponding tab.
