PaDEL-Survival is a smart app designed to help cancer patients get a better understanding of their situation. Cancer is one of the toughest diseases out there. While some types can be treated, others are much harder to beat. When someone is diagnosed with a serious form of cancer, doctors often do tests to see how much time the patient has left. That’s where PaDEL-Survival comes in—it helps you double-check what your doctor says using the test results.
This app is made for people of all ages, so it keeps things simple and user-friendly. You don’t need to install anything! Just extract the files and run the JAR file, and you’re good to go!
Inside PaDEL-Survival, there are five input fields where you can type in important values like albumin levels, absolute neutrophil count, ALT levels, ECOG status (0-1), and how many metastatic sites there are. Once you fill those in, just hit the Run button.
The app won’t give you an exact number of days left to live. Instead, it shows whether or not a patient might survive beyond 120 days after going through palliative chemotherapy. If the values suggest that survival beyond 120 days is possible, you'll see a “Yes” next to your results; if not, it’ll say “No.”
PaDEL-Survival can be a helpful tool for anyone looking for a second opinion on their health journey. While it uses blood test data to generate results, it’s super important not to rely solely on this app without discussing things with your doctor first.
