Most users keep shortcuts to their most frequently accessed apps and files within reach, on their desktop. However, these items gradually pile on, and you might eventually end up with a crowded desktop.

Even though its name might make you mistake its functionality for a hard-disk related one, Partitions is meant to help you create a sort of virtual drawers on your desktop where you can add folders and files.

For example, you can create one that stores your images, whereas a different could be used to link to your Office documents or multimedia files. This way, instead of having all the files spread onto your desktop, you can pack them nicely in dedicated place that take up much less space.

As soon as you decided on the type of drawer you want Partitions to set up, you need to choose its background color, as well as the text's. You can also assign them relevant names, so you can easily identify them when in a hurry.

You can set these drawers to be displayed on top of the other open windows, so you can access their contents without issues. Also, the application can run at Windows startup, so you do not need to manually launch it every time.
