Pascal's Triangle is like a treasure chest of math secrets! It helps us find the coefficients in binomial expansions and can even predict probabilities in binomial trials. Plus, it shows off some really cool patterns.
If you write out a bunch of rows from Pascal's Triangle and circle all the multiples of 2, you'll see an interesting pattern emerge. Do the same with the multiples of 3, and you'll spot a whole new pattern! It's pretty fascinating how different numbers create unique designs.
This app is a neat little 32-bit C++ tool designed to help you visualize those patterns. It can display up to twenty-nine rows on your screen at once. Just pick any integer, and the program will mark each spot in Pascal's Triangle that is a multiple of that number with an "@" symbol. If it's not a multiple, it gets marked with a "^" symbol. How cool is that?
Once you run the program, dive into the patterns yourself! Try comparing the multiples of 2 and 3 with those of 6. Keep an eye out for any patterns created by prime numbers too. You might discover something new!
