Keeping your PC in good shape is not an easy thing, especially with all dangers lurking around every corner of the information superhighway. There’s more than just viruses that can harm your computer, and is up to applications like PC Optimizer 360 to help you fix different areas like registries, extensions, and more.
Before you can enjoy all the application has to offer, it’s best to make sure that .NET Framework is installed on your computer, since it’s a mandatory component for functionality. Luckily, scanners don’t automatically start when running the application, giving you a chance to overview the set of features.
Navigation through all areas the application can target is easily done through the dedicated panel. As such, you can visit the registry scanner, virus protection, junk file cleaner, PC tuneup, and a few general troubleshooting components, which are merely quick access points to Windows features like the Task Manager, Event Viewer, Device Manager, and Control Panel.
The registry scanner can be configured to look up general errors, file paths, extensions, shared DLLs, file associations, controls, system applications, and other programs. Sadly, results are not shown, and the only possible operation is to attempt to fix them.
You can check your system for any potential virus or spyware infections through the dedicated component. However, detection ratio leaves more to be desired, and there’s no real time protection component to prevent your PC from getting infected.
The junk file cleaner looks through your entire PC for obsolete files, except in several system directories. It can take a bit of time for the scan process to finish, depending on the size, and complexity of the disk.
Bottom line is that PC Optimizer 360 comes with a decent set of tools which aims to keep most areas of your PC in good shape. However, the virus scanner is a little underprepared for the fight, and with no built-in scheduler, you might end up with a clogged PC again in a short while.
