What is PerfectLum?

PerfectLum

PerfectLum is a handy tool that helps calibrate medical displays to meet the DICOM standard Part 3.14. This means it’s super important for folks in healthcare who need their screens to show accurate images. Not only does PerfectLum calibrate to that DICOM GSDF Part 3.14, but it also works with specific Gamma values and CIE L luminance reproduction.

Calibration and Verification

Once you’ve set up the display, PerfectLum checks if the brightness matches the AAPM TG18 standard. It even creates graphs showing how well the display performs in terms of luminance response, AAPM TG18 compliance, and JND compliance. All of this data is stored in a history database so you can track how consistent the brightness is over time.

Remote Control Features

An exciting feature of PerfectLum is its integrated Remote Control system. This allows system admins to run QA checks from anywhere! Plus, it has a built-in color calibration tool that finely tunes any color target and generates ICC / ICM profiles for your display.
