CrystalMaker is a cool software that gives you a set of 7 "molecule" files. Each one shows the Periodic Table of Elements with atoms designed as colorful spheres, all sized according to their real proportions. It's pretty neat to see how everything fits together!
The files match up with CrystalMaker's built-in Element Table sets. You can find options for Atomic, Ionic, Covalent, and Van-der-Waals radii. Some of the files even use the CPK color scheme, which makes it easy to recognize different elements at a glance. And guess what? The atoms also show their element symbols, and if you want, you can display atomic numbers too!
If you're curious about changing how atom labels appear, just head over to CrystalMaker's Model Options command and click on the Labels tab. You can choose to display Site Labels instead of just the element symbols if that suits your needs better.
This software really shines when it comes to flexibility! It can handle many types of structures and offers loads of customization options through the Site Browser pane and the Element Editor window. You can tweak things until they look just right!
The full version of CrystalMaker is packed with over 600 annotated structure files on disc! This includes nearly 300 distinct mineral phases—basically all the major rock-forming minerals—plus important organic and inorganic structures for technology. It’s like having a whole chemistry lab right on your computer!
