Pin-a-note

Pin-a-note is a simple and straightforward application you can use to write sticky notes in a comfortable working environment and pin the most important ones to your Start Screen or Menu.

Packed in a Modern UI, it's specially designed for computers running Windows 8, 8.1 and 10, as well as optimized for touch-supported devices, thanks to the fact that it has large buttons which can be easily tapped.

After downloading and installing Pin-a-note from the Windows Store, you're welcomed by a large window with a dark theme, where you can create a note by clicking the "Add" button on the bottom-right corner or by pressing the Insert key.

The note can have a normal or double wide. It's possible to create as many notes as you want. Although it's possible to enter text of any size, not all of it will be displayed in the window. To view the whole contents of a note, it's necessary to enter editing mode.

Besides the fact that you can remove any sticky note from the list if you change your mind, it's possible to pin any notes to your Start Screen or Menu. This way, you can easily keep track of tasks, events, chores, to-do lists, and other important events.

The sticky notes tool gets integrated with the search charm, so you can quickly find specific notes by content. Any note can be shared with another Modern UI program.

Unfortunately, there are no configuration settings available. For example, you cannot change the background or text colors. There are no options implemented for copying or exporting notes to file.

To sum it up, Pin-a-note doesn't come bundled with a comprehensive set of options. Nevertheless, it offers a fast a method for writing sticky notes and doesn't require Internet access to work, so you can take notes even when you're offline.
