Pokki

Pokki is a simple-to-use program that provides quick access to your favorite web apps right in the taskbar. It also shows a Start button in Windows 8, bringing back the classic Start menu.

The tool caters to all types of users who want to better manage their web-based utilities, such as Facebook, Gmail, YouTube or SoundCloud.

Once installed, you can visit Pokki's app store and select an item to immediately place a shortcut to it into the tasbkbar, right next to your quick launch buttons.

It is possible to mark apps as favorites, rename or remove them from the taskbar, and use a search function. In Windows 8, the Start menu gives users quick access to Control Panel utilities, music, pictures, documents, and the computer.

As far as Pokki settings are concerned, you can change the interface theme, menu size and preferred language, customize the menu sidebar items, show notification banners, as well as move items to the right side of the taskbar, among others.

The tool has minimal impact on system resources, using low CPU and RAM. It has a good reaction speed and smoothly integrates into the operating system, without causing it to hang, crash or pop up error dialogs. Pokki is a nice addition to any power user.
