Portable eJEDI

Portable eJEDI is a lightweight application that enables you to quickly translate Japanese words into English. It contains just a few basic options can be figured out by anyone with ease.

Since there is no installation involved, you can save the program files in any part of the disk and simply click the executable to launch eJEDI. Another possibility is to save it to a pen drive to be able to run it on any PC with minimum effort and no previous installers. Plus, it doesn't change the Windows registry configuration.

Represented by a large window with a minimalistic appearance, the interface lets you perform a search and browse the dictionary to find out Kanji and reading symbols, along with the English translation of each word. Examples are also available.

It's possible to add any entries to a favorites list for quick access, edit their name and description, as well as remove any entry from the list. There are no other notable options or configuration settings provided by this tool.

It didn't hang, crash or display error messages in our tests. The app carried out search operations swiftly while remaining light on system resources consumption.

On the other hand, it comes loaded just a handful of features. For example, it doesn't implement an English-to-Japanese dictionary too. Nevertheless, eJEDI serves its purpose and can be seamlessly handled by any user.
