Portable English - Romanian Dictionary

This is the portable counterpart of English - Romanian Dictionary, a simple-to-use software program which contains a database with word translations from English to Romanian, and vice versa. It comes bundled with an intuitive set of options.

As there is no setup pack involved, you can drop the program files anywhere on the hard disk and just click the executable to run.

There is also the possibility to save English - Romanian Dictionary to a USB flash disk or similar storage unit, in order to run it on any computer seamlessly, without previous installers.

An important fact to take into account is that the app does not create new entries in the Windows registry or Start menu, leaving the disk clean after removal.

The GUI is made of a single window split into two panels, dedicated to each dictionary language. Apart from scrolling the first panel with the English words to locate a particular entry, you can jump to it using a real-time search function.

Double-clicking a word in the list makes room for translation editing. Switching to Romanian-to-English mode is done with the simple click of a button. It is possible to add new words to expand the database, delete existing ones, make the frame stay on top of other windows, undo actions, as well as ask the tool to hide when minimized and to run at Windows boot until further notice.

English - Romanian Dictionary leaves a minimal footprint in the system resources, has a good response time and works smoothly. It did not hang, crash or pop up error messages in our evaluation. Thanks to its intuitive layout and overall simplicity, it can be handled by all types of users, regardless of experience.
