Privacy Defender is a lightweight Windows application developed to clean browser data and thus hide your online activity.

As compared to other products in this particular software category, Privacy Defender is fairly easy to use and is aimed at all user categories, offering a minimal GUI with very intuitive options.

Hitting the “Erase” button starts the cleaning process, so you're highly recommended to have a look in the options screen before anything else.

This is basically the only way to configure the items to be cleaned and starting the removal process without further configuration means that you're okay with the standard settings.

Privacy Defender can only deal with Internet Explorer data and no other browsers are supported. It can remove IE cache, cookies, history, favorites and typed URLs. Privacy Defender can erase Windows recent files, the temporary files folder, Recycle Bin items, Windows Media Player and RealPlayer recent files.

Privacy Defender doesn't hamper system performance in any way and it works flawlessly on all Windows versions released so far. Administrator privileges aren't required on Windows 7 machines.

Privacy Defender is a helpful product if you're an avid Internet Explorer fan. The major setback however is that it only supports Microsoft's web browser, while users are looking for apps capable of dealing with Mozilla Firefox, Google Chrome, Opera and Safari too.

Privacy Defender however does its job very well and Internet Explorer users are very likely to be satisfied with it, regardless of the browser version they are using.
