QM Nooze

QM Nooze is a simple application designed to obtain RSS and RDF feeds to show you the latest information on your favorite websites. It comes in handy when you want to stay up to date with news and other types of articles you deem as important.

Setting up this tool is a fast and easy task that shouldn't give you any trouble, thanks to the fact that there are no special options, prerequisite tools or third-party offers involved.

After taking one look at the interface, it's clear that QM Nooze hasn't received updates for a long time. It's represented by a small window with an easy-to-use structure, showing all options provided by the utility.

It's possible to type or paste the website's URL and click a button to find out the latest articles published, as well as modified content. The program goes to the website, translates the Resource Description Framework Site Summary (RDF RSS), and automatically updates content on your desktop every 10 minutes.

Unfortunately, it doesn't give you the possibility to change the update frequency or to specify multiple URLs you want to monitor at the same time. Apart from the fact that you can view the local time in the status bar, you can fetch the news list with one click, as well as suggest the current feed to the developer.

It used a low amount of CPU and RAM, so it didn't hamper system performance. Although it ran on newer Windows models in our tests, it froze on several occasions after we attempted to retrieve news lists from specified websites. Nevertheless, QM Nooze has a light set of features and it cannot possibly compete with other RSS feed tools.
