QuickAccent

QuickAccent is a nifty tool that provides a neat selection of accented letters and the Euro symbol. This program was created to help users who speak French or German write emails or any other text without wasting time or remembering the Alt Codes for characters with accents like á, É, Ç, etc. The item list resides in the system tray, from where the user can then click an example to move it to the clipboard. From there, it can be easily inserted into any text with a simple paste command.

Install quick access and boot it up from the start menu. No UI will pop up upon launch, as the application is made to work from the system tray. One right-click on the icon is enough to bring the character list forward. Click on an item to send it to the clipboard. Press Shift to force the characters into Caps mode. From there, just drop it into your email, and you are set.

Besides the 18 supported letters, the program also comes with extra symbols. The Euro symbol is first, followed by a set of French quotation marks and the Copyright sign.

QuickAccent comes with a fully editable table of contents. If you are not happy with the provided examples, you can access the settings area and add new entries by yourself. Editing the default accents is also a possibility. When editing an entry, one can change details like display name, accent, Alt Code, and tags.

QuickAccent is indeed a handy tool for French and German users who wish to have accented items within reach. However, due to how easy it is to customize the program, any user no matter the nationality can make it work.
