RanMon is a desktop software app that makes it super easy to keep an eye on the uptime of any domain. You can even send ping commands to check how connected you are, all with very little effort!
The best part? You don’t need to install anything! Just copy the package file anywhere on your hard drive and launch the EXE file directly. Since it's portable, you can even save it on a pen drive or any removable storage. This means you can run it on just about any computer.
The tool has a clean and simple interface that’s straightforward. Everything you need is in one window, so there’s no hunting around for settings. Even if you're new to this kind of stuff, you won't have any trouble figuring it out!
To get started, just type in the domain name you want to monitor, pick your settings, and you're good to go! RanMon allows you to set how often pings happen (that's the time between attempts), how many HTTP connections to make (which is basically how many pings to send), and connection timeout.
While monitoring, you'll see all sorts of useful details like the number of successful and failed connections, the status of your domain, starting date, IP address, host's address, and ping response time in milliseconds.
A heads up: right now you can only monitor domains using their website names since IP addresses aren't supported. Also, remember to save your logs manually because there's no autosave feature.
In our review, we found that RanMon gets its job done quickly without any hiccups. Plus, it doesn't slow down your computer because it uses very little CPU and memory.
All things considered, RanMon is a fast and reliable program that helps you keep track of any domains effortlessly by sending pings!
