Whenever you delete anything on your PC, it goes to Recycle Bin, which can be briefly described as a temporary storage solution. In most cases, it is a safety net for those times when you accidentally delete something, as it offers a straightforward way to restore it.

But what if there would be more of Recycle Bin? RBEditor is a tool that extends the functionality and gives you more control over Recycle Bin.

The program doesn’t require installation, so download, and you can start using it right away. The interface consists of a single window where you can view all the items that are currently in your Recycle Bin. Unlike Windows’ standard bin, here you can open and view, edit and extract content. It goes without saying that you can also delete the items, if you decide you no longer need them.

Besides opening and reviewing files, you can also create new files and folders directly in Recycle Bin. To create a new item, access the ‘New Item’ button on the top and fill in the required information. The newly created items are without any deletion, as mentioned by the developer. The feature can come in handy if you have numerous items stored, and you need to organize them in order to review and decide what to keep.

A noteworthy functionality of the tool is that you can edit files’ metadata. To view the data, you can click the ‘Properties’ button and a new window opens with more details. To modify the metadata, click on the ‘Edit’ button on the lower area of the window, and you can proceed to modify various information about the said file.

Lastly, it is worth mentioning that RBEditor includes a Hacker Mode that, although the developer did not specify its role, seems to be addressed to advanced users.
