Romi FOR MAC

Romi is a simple board game for Mac OS X that enables you to play Rummy against the computer: combine three or more cards together, which are either consecutive tiles that belong to the same suit, or have the same value but are part of different suits.

The Romi game comes with two sets of cards that have 52 tiles each and include two wild cards. A game can have two, three, or four players: the computer will make the moves for the additional players (you cannot play against your friends).

However, you can choose the difficulty level (beginner, intermediate, or expert), change the playing rules (standard or allow 12-13-1), or adjust the playing speed (fast, normal, or slow).

Other customization options include the possibility to change the background image, or to toggle the sound effects. Since the settings are saved between sessions, you will have to make these modifications only once.

To help you play, Romi can quickly sort your tiles by number or by suit, can validate your combinations, can show you the cards played, can clean up the board, or restore the cards. The score panel shows you the latest score, and how many games have been won by each player.

Romi offers you the possibility to relax while practicing your strategic planning skills: to make the most out of your cards you must identify the best possible combinations and play all the tiles before another player closes the board. If the game ends and you still have cards on your on board, the value of each card will be subtracted from your score.
