You can remove any item from your hard drive, by uploading it through a built-in file browser. The “drag and drop” feature is not incorporated, which is considered to be a small setback as it could have helped users manage files more efficiently. All aforementioned items are displayed in the main window, along with name, type, size and path.

Once you add all the files that interest you, all you are required to do is click the “Shred files” button. A progress bar is going to be displayed in a new window, so as to let you approximate the time until the process is done, and when it is complete, you can view the total number of files and folders removed.

The resource requirements vary from low to moderate levels, depending on the number of items being processed and the algorithm used. The response time is good and the interface is friendly.
