SafeWallet comes in handy when you want to protect your private details, such as credit cards, login credentials, or documents from the computer from being accessed and edited.
There is no installation necessary for the program to run, which means it can be dropped on a USB drive and run on any computer. Make sure you have Java Runtime Environment present on the hard disk as it's required for the app to start.
Right from the beginning you can set your main database and password, along with the destination path. If you don't want a password, leave the field open. Later from the menu, you input it. It's wrapped in an old yet self-explanatory layout divided into two tabs, the wallet and miscellaneous.
The primary window displays the menu and the tree structure on the left side of the panel, and the insertion options, on the right. In the welcome pane the complete location path is shown, while at the bottom, a few explanations are given. The tree structure can be designed by adding numerous sub-folders to the main one.
The first button lets you insert a new login account, by specifying the username, password, comment, and a representative icon from the PC. After that, you have to choose the folder group in which it falls, and a label.
Plus, you have to option to store files, images, documents, songs, or videos in an archive on the computer, which can be protected with a password. From the settings, it's possible to change the interface theme and install the plug-in for Mozilla Firefox.
Taking everything into account, SafeWallet is a useful program created to offer simple means to store sensitive information, files, pictures, and documents, into a secured database.
