Sanctuary Benchmark

Powered by the Unigine engine, Sanctuary Benchmark is a feature-rich application that can run benchmarks to test the capabilities of your video card. It runs a game demo and lets you move freely in the environment, configure a wide range of settings, and take screenshots.

After the fast and uneventful setup, you are greeted by a menu window, where you can tinker with some options before running the demo.

You can select the API between DirectX 9, DirectX 10, DirectX 11 and OpenGL, keep stereo 3D disabled or switch to anaglyph, separate images, 3D vision or iZ3D mode, enable or disable ambient occlusion and anti-aliasing (2x, 4x, 8x), pick the shaders and anisotropy levels, as well as run in full screen mode and choose the resolution (4:3, 16:9, 16:10).

Once the benchmark is launched, you can move freely in the demo and view FPS, grab snapshots, apply a post-processing filter (e.g. blue tone, orange, greyscale, sepia, blur), change the camera position, simulate fireballs, enable or disable sound, or stop the test.

The previously mentioned benchmark settings can be changed. What's more, you can enable VSync, adjust the gamma level, select the rendering texture quality and filter (bilinear, trilinear), as well as apply or disable translucence, parallax mapping, reflection, refraction, glow, DOF, and HDR.

You can switch to another UI language, hide the FPS counter and messages, show the wireframe and profiles, as well as reconfigure hotkeys for character actions, screenshots, along with mouse inversion and sensitivity.

We haven't come across any stability issues in our tests, thanks to the fact that the program didn't hang, crash or prompt error messages. To conclude, Sanctuary Benchmark proves to be a practical GPU stress-testing utility, backed by many customization preferences. No recent updates have been made, though.
