SCCM Reporter

Relying on specialized tools for integrating inventory data into the digital mediums in order to attain better interoperability and being able to share the said data and use it with databases is only one facet of Microsoft’s System Center Configuration System (SCCM). Its advantages when used in conjuncture with the proprietary SQL Server databases for asset discovery also come with potential issues that can arise.

Built as a dedicated tool for yielding reports for SCCM instances, SCCM Reporter will offer users a specialized set of tools for previewing a wide range of parameters and their status, from within SCCM SQL database environments.

Using the app, one will be able to define a preferred DSN, with an associated ODBC driver for the server environment, and have it readily accessible in the reporter. In order to interact with the database medium, the application also offers access to multiple, pre-defined queries, which can be used directly against the SCCM database.

Basically, the reporter will allow users to get a preview of the SCCM’s applications, collections, content, deployments, and all other characteristic parameters that constitute the core of such a database environment. Support for error detection and error description is also provided.
