SFCList

SFCList is a command-line utility capable of listing files protected by SFC (System File Checker). This is Windows mechanism specially developed to protect the system core files from being modified by you or third-party programs, whether it's by accident or on purpose, such as malware attacks whose goal is to lower your OS shields and infiltrate into your PC.

In case such an event occurs and the core files are altered, SFC interferes automatically to replace the modified files with the original ones. This way, the operating system's stability is ensured.

Advanced users can resort to SFCList and check their computers for such files protected by SFC, in order to rest assured that Microsoft's mechanism is ready for action.

The SFC checker doesn't require installation, so it can be saved on a USB flash drive and effortlessly deployed on all your Windows-based devices to scan for SFC-enabled files.

To run this app, it's necessary to call its process from a Command Prompt dialog. The syntax is SFCList [ -l [pattern] ] [ -p filepath, where "-l pattern" displays a list of all system files protected by SFC. It can be optionally accompanied by a string pattern, in case you want to narrow down the search and filter files by name or type.

Meanwhile, "-p filepath" gives you the possibility to verify a specific file for SFC. The results list reveals the full path and MD5 checksum of each file with enabled SFC.

The developer hasn't implemented an option for saving all data to file but you can select all text with your mouse and copy it by pressing Enter.

All things considered, SFCList proves to be a fast and straightforward SFC checker.
