How SIFT Works

When you install SIFT, you have two ways to set it up:

• Stand Alone Mode
  This is the basic setup for SIFT. Here, you get to decide what all users on your computer can see. It’s like being the boss of internet access!


• Internet Connection Sharing Mode
  This one is for those who share their internet over a network using just one Windows computer connection. You can manage what everyone on the network can access by setting up access lists. If you're in a situation where your server is tucked away, you can even run the SIFT administration tool from another computer! Just open the tool, go to the Remoting tab, check 'Connect To: Another Computer,' and you're good to go! If you need to log in as someone else on that remote machine, just select 'Connect As: Another User' and enter your domain\username and password.
