Speed Monitor is here to help you check your internet connection speed to different websites all at once. Sometimes, you just need to ping certain sites, and this tool makes that super easy. It even lets you set how often it checks the speed and helps you create charts for a better look at your data.
The best part? You don’t have to go through a long setup process! Just make sure that your computer has .NET Framework installed. You can even run Speed Monitor directly from a USB drive. This way, you can take it with you anywhere without messing up any settings on your computer.
The interface is straightforward. You’ll see a big table that fills up as you add new websites to test. There's a simple set of controls where you can choose how often data packets are sent—down to every second for almost real-time feedback! By default, it uses Google as an example, which is great for getting started.
The info cells in Speed Monitor update based on the time interval you set. This means you can keep track of the last packet sent and see averages over the last 10, 100, or even 1000 packets. Just remember: you'll need to click a button to start fetching data, but stopping or clearing the results is super easy if you want a fresh start.
If you want to test more sites, just type or paste their URLs into new cells—it's that simple! Plus, for each website you're testing, there are individual charts available so that you can view their performance more easily. However, it's worth noting that these charts don’t update in real-time and there’s no option yet to export images or TXT files with your results.
All in all, Speed Monitor is definitely useful for checking pings across multiple websites at once. The frequency of checks can be adjusted easily and adding new sites takes hardly any time at all. While having options to export graphs would be nice, it’s still worth giving it a try!
