Splitting files, especially large ones could be a good idea if you are looking to either protect your data from others or simply facilitate storage or transfer. No matter the reason you're looking to separate items, a file splitter is all you need for the job. There are tons of such applications on the Web, but we'll only focus on Split Files, a lightweight tool that lets you split, and also join files in a quick and simple way.

Splitting files can be done in two separate ways. You either go with the default method of splitting files by size, in which case you'll have to input the file size for each segment, in particular, be that Bt, Kb, Mb, or GB; or go with the amount methods, which lets you determine how many parts a file will be split into. The other way goes about it, the most straightforward one, is to create a BAT file on the splitting tab and use that to instantly join the parts.
