Spyware & Adware Removal places an icon in the System Tray and although it’s supposed to run all the time, the footprint on hardware resources is minimal. What’s more, it runs flawlessly on all Windows versions and doesn’t require administrator privileges on Windows 7 workstations.

It’s not all just milk and honey though. Spyware & Adware Removal isn’t as effective as it promises to be and the scanner doesn’t even work on Windows 7. The whole computer checking process takes just one second, with a dialog claiming that the system is entirely clean.

The help manual is just basic and doesn’t provide too much information on the available features, which isn’t quite good news for beginners.

But overall, Spyware & Adware Removal can lend you a hand if you’re trying to stay on the safe side. It doesn’t comprise a definition update system, but it can monitor the computer for malicious activity.
