SSDs are much more prevalent now than they were in the past, and for good reason. The speeds they provide over your traditional hard disk drives are not at all insignificant, and can make the difference between a machine feeling sluggish to use, and one that seems up to modern standards.
With that being said, HDDs are still the staple of long-term data storage, mostly files that you don't much access. If you're looking to 'fuse' your SSD with your HDD, you can give SSHD Wizard a try: it's a tool that seeks to offer better read/write performances to speed up your system.
Users won't have to jump through numerous menus and configure all sorts of settings to set everything up: the program is very straightforward in that regard, and there are no options to take care of. Everything is fine by default, and you can start by selecting the partitions that you want to fuse together.
First off, you'll have to select your SSD partition of choice. If you do not have one to use, you can create a virtual partition from the free space on your drive. Upon confirming it, you can proceed with selecting the HDD partition: the process is the same.
After selecting the respective partitions, all that remains is to wait a little for the program to do the work. Your SSD and HDD partitions will then be blended together, and the program even encourages you to benchmark the new partition. It is worth mentioning that there's no bechmarking function available — you'll have to use a different tool for that.
When electing to create a virtual drive, the creation process would oftentimes take needlessly long to complete. This was especially strange when we once force closed the program during the process, as re-opening the program revealed that the virtual drive had been created without a problem. All of this, despite the fact that the creation wizard was still running at the time. This happened with both the SSD and HDD virtual partitions.
Regardless, SSHD Wizard seems like a rather solid tool overall. Anyone can use it, so if you have both an SSD and HDD in your computer, it wouldn't be a bad idea to try this one.
