Windows loads all of its important services after which you can go ahead and manage your own tasks. Some applications even take the liberty of automatically running with Windows, but you have some control over the whole operation. In this regard, Startupper is the type of program with which to enrich your list of startup items.

First of all, you might want to know that you don’t have to go through a setup process to make the application work, which means it’s only possible to have it carried around on a thumb drive to use on other computers besides your own. Take note, however, that registry entries are modified accordingly to enable startup of target items.

The visual design isn’t much to look at, but it’s designed to not cause any accommodation problems, while also being fitted with various details to explain the entire operation. There aren’t any other windows to work with, but there is one downside to the operation, and that’s the lack of a browse dialog to load items of interest.

Since creating a list is not as easy at it seems, you might be tempted to look for alternatives. The application accepts command line items as input, which makes some documentation required first of all. Multiple items can be added to the list, and there’s the possibility to specify interval between items in seconds.

Additional options help make the process a bit more comfortable. You can choose to have error messages displayed if encountered, save the log, prompt for each item before launching them, and even set the time in seconds to act as a delay so you don’t overwhelm the boot process.
