SymlinkCreator is a user-friendly Windows application that helps you create symbolic links, called symlinks, which are special shortcuts that appear as real files. It's handy for scenarios where you want to organize files without duplicating them or efficiently back up specific items.

You don’t need to install the program, so simply decompress the archive, and you are ready to create your shortcuts. The application comes with a minimalistic interface that includes a single window with two panels.

While the left panel provides a simple way to add the source files and folders, the right panel lets you choose the destination folder. The latter includes options for using relative paths if possible and for retaining script files after execution. The first is helpful when you use relative paths when both source and destination are on the same drive, whereas the second enables you to save the script for logging purposes.

Creating symbolic links, or symlinks, via this tool is like making shortcuts to your files or folders, but with a special twist. Instead of duplicating the actual files, it creates links that point to the original ones.
