Excel is a very popular spreadsheet application that is used to handle all manner of information, from basic tables to vital budgeting information. Sometimes accidents happen, such as power loss, corrupted files and system malfunctions, when it does, sometimes a file can become corrupted. SysInfoTools Excel Recovery is an application that can recover and repair damaged XLSX files.
SysInfoTools Excel Recovery has one purpose - to repair a specific type of file - and the entire interface is geared towards that. The application is qizard-based so you are guided throughout the entire recovery process.
SysInfoTools Excel Recovery can repair multiple files at once, so users can load entire directories of files into the application and repair them all at once. However, SysInfoTools Excel Recovery makes it exceptionally easy to remove several as well, so it is possible to load a directory, remove a few files then repair the rest. All the selecting and preparing of files is possible with only a few clicks.
While users can be comfortable with paying for software that performs an important task, SysInfoTools Excel Recovery is not cheap and provides very little to justify its price. There are no additional functions or options included, it can repair XLSX files and nothing else. The lack of even standard XLS file compatibility is a major hindrance given how people often work with both types.
Not to mention, there are many ways to avoid the types of extreme errors required to corrupt a file so profoundly it needs to be repaired. Losing a few lines of information and having to redo them does not necessarily justify the price of SysInfoTools Excel Recovery With no configuration or multiple format options, it raises big questions over the perceived value.
SysInfoTools Excel Recovery does what it sets out to do, repair XLSX files, in that goal it succeeds. Unfortunately, it needs to do far more to justify the price that the developers have attached to it. Many users might balk at the value and instead choose a general file recovery and repair tool, one which is not restricted to just one single format.
