SysTools MSG Viewer is an approachable Windows utility that enables users to view MSG-formatted files (Outlook emails), explore attachments, and export data to PDF documents.

It comes packed with a standard and intuitive set of options that can be easily figured out by users, regardless of their skill level.

Setting up the application requires minimal time and effort. It features a familiar interface split into three main panes.

An Explorer-based folder structure lets users seamlessly navigate disk directories to locate all MSG files from a selected folder, while another pane lists all containing MSG files together with the sender and receiver names, subject, sent date, and size.

The third pane reveals the MSG file content in detail, along with attachments (if any). The viewing mode for the list and content panes can be switch from horizontal to vertical mode.

The program does not put a strain on PC performance, since it runs on low CPU and RAM. We have not come across any issues throughout our evaluation, since it did not hang, crash or pop up error messages. Unfortunately, its limited set of features do no account for the full version's price. Users may resort to less expensive tools for viewing MSG files and creating PDF documents for them, some of which are actually free.
