Familiar Interface

When you open Texter, you’ll notice it looks a lot like Notepad. This is because it doesn’t offer a ton of features. You get some editing options, file operations, and an edit pad that makes up most of the interface. It keeps things simple!

Creating and Opening Files

You can start fresh by creating a new document or use the browse dialog to open an existing one. Just keep in mind that drag and drop isn’t supported here! Texter only lets you open plain text files, so while you can load different types of files, editing them might not work out well.

If you're working on several documents at once, you can have multiple instances of Texter open. This way, moving text between documents is super easy! Once you're done with your edits, save your work in a custom format or stick with the default TXT type.
