The Northern Lights Theme

The Northern Lights have always been a fascinating phenomenon to anyone who has ever seen them live or in pictures. The dancing colors in the night sky are mesmerizing, so it is only normal that you would want to have them displayed on your desktop as wallpaper.

Microsoft brings the aurora borealis to your desktop via the amazing The Northern Lights Theme. You get amazing long exposure photographs of stars and the Milky Way, breathtaking night scenery photos of the northern lights and the way they are painted in the sky and reflected in the waters below.

This theme sends you to a journey to various countries, allowing you to enjoy stunning views of the nature and the nighttime sky in faraway lands, such as Iceland, Norway, but also Thailand, and Death Valley, USA. You get no less than 15 background images to display on your desktop.

As for the other elements included in the theme, know that there is a single custom color available, with no additional mouse cursors or sounds. However, you can scroll through all the background images by clicking on the designated option in the right-click menu.

Installing the theme only requires you to get it from the Windows Store and have it opened and selected from the Settings app in Windows.
