The Tracer is a super handy networking tool that helps you trace web links to uncover important details, like IP addresses and domain names. It gathers all this info so you can easily check it out later.
Installing The Tracer is a breeze! When you open it up, you'll see a clean window that's really well organized. All you need to do is type in a URL and hit the button to start tracing!
This process might take some time, so your computer might feel a bit sluggish while it's working. But don't worry! The Tracer will show you the IP address, domain name, round trip time, and status for each hop along the way. Plus, it gives you a detailed report with total hops found, average times, and ports used for HTTP requests.
If you're curious about where an IP address is located, The Tracer has got your back! It can show you its position on a built-in map as long as it can grab geographical info. You can also open any IP or domain in your web browser to get more local network details like DNS server info and APIPA activity status. And yes, there’s even a feature to run Whois searches or scan different port ranges!
When we tested The Tracer, we noticed that CPU and RAM usage were pretty low. We didn’t face any issues like crashes or error messages either! The only hiccup was that the program could be less responsive when running scans; sometimes it took longer than expected to stop the scan once initiated.
The Tracer includes some intuitive options that make tracing IP addresses easy for everyone.
