Mainly designed to aid software developers, TimeThis is a console-based application that can determine how long it takes for a command to execute in Windows, with or without extra arguments.
In other words, TimeThis can be used to evaluate the execution time of files and programs in Windows, providing support for BAT or CMD commands.
Using TimeThis requires nothing more than the command to test to be entered as an argument. In the console window, you must enter the path of TimeThis,
followed by the target command (executable file, for instance), aka the location of the file you want to test.
TimeThis executes the target application and starts evaluating the execution time, taking into account the start date and time, in hours, minutes and seconds.
TimeThis waits for the process to finish and displays the end date and time in the console window, alongside the execution duration.
Note that the execution of the target program (the one used as an argument) is not a simulation. The command is really executed for TimeThis to be able to assess the elapsed time. Please execute the command in a controlled environment (such as a virtual machine) should it pose any security-related risks.
