Keeping a list of things you need to accomplish by the end of the day minimizes the risk of you forgetting about them. This can be done in a variety of ways, depending on the task at hand and tools used in this regard. For instance, you can use TNT Post Its to create convenient sticky notes directly on the desktop.
The application lets you use its set of features right after setup is done, and it doesn’t take a lot of time. However, you need to make sure that .NET Framework is already on you PC for the application to work, even though it’s a default feature in modern Windows iterations.
At launch, a new tray icon is created, and is the place where the application spends most of its time. Note that normal interaction via the left mouse button has no effect, but there is a menu which shows up on right click. It would have been useful to at least create a new desktop note when clicking it.
You quickly find there are two types of notes you create, namely a sticky note, and a task list. Both are pretty similar, and only differ on the technical side of things in terms of overall size and preview area. On the one hand, a post it comes in a fixed view space, even though the container window can be resized.
On the other hand, the task list is not much different in visual settings, and wraps text according to window size specifications. Another common element is the opacity slider, which is always in plain sight to make notes transparent.
Unfortunately, tasks need to be temporary, or manually saved by extracting text, because there’s no built-in save option and once a note is closed, everything is discarded without your consent. Even if you make it run on startup no previous notes show up.
TNT Post Its is heavily underprepared for what it wants to achieve. A plain post it note is frustrating to handle, and doesn’t differ much from the more convenient task list. Even so, everything needs to be over by the end of the day, because everything is lost when closing the program.
