Toys War - Age of Defence is a game that sticks to the classic tower defense formula, but offers a slightly different setting and has you battling a relentless army of toy soldiers.
The basic 2D graphics are well suited for a game of this type, as anything more complex would be unnecessary. The animations are perhaps a bit crude, but this should not take away from your enjoyment.
The soundtrack is nothing special, but it does not become tiring after prolonged sessions. The audio effects, however, are a different matter entirely. While they might not bother you at first, hearing the same sound hundreds of times whenever an enemy is destroyed can become annoying pretty quickly.
Toys War - Age of Defence is split into a series of levels, each taking place on a new map. You will have to repel ten waves of enemies that get faster and more powerful after each one.
The towers can be arranged before the start of a wave, but you can also modify your defensive setup once the battle has commenced. There are upgrades available for each unit, which are more useful in the latter stages of a level when you have no more space to install new towers.
Once you have completed a level, you receive a new supply of crystals. These allow you to acquire special weapons and improvements that can get you out of a tight spot. You can also purchase this currency in the in-game shop, to ensure you never run out when you need them most.
Toys War - Age of Defence is a fairly entertaining tower defense game that does not stand out in any way, but can be fun for a little while.
