Understanding TPAC Format

The TPAC format is a special way that Mount & Blade II: Bannerlord stores its game assets. It's actually a newer version that takes over from the older BRF and CRF formats used in earlier betas. Right now, Taleworlds hasn’t rolled out an official tool for looking at these new archive types, so that’s where TpacTool steps up!

How Does TpacTool Work?

This app works by letting you open folders filled with your game assets instead of just opening individual asset files. When you do this, you'll see a list of all the items inside that folder, and you can check them out one by one.

You’ll find some handy tabs within TpacTool that let you look through different parts of your assets. You can browse based on things like models, skeletons, materials, and other cool elements. Plus, if you're interested in animations, it supports vertex animations too! That means you can visualize how models morph as well.
