Transparent Context Menu is an OS enhancement tool that gives you the possibility to tweak the transparency level of your right-click menu. It doesn't require setup and features straightforward options that can be tackled with ease, even by users inexperienced with such software.

The program's packed in two files that you can save to a preferred directory on the disk or copy to a removable storage unit, in order to run Transparent Context Menu on any computer without making any prior installations.

However, make sure that the disk is not write-protected, since it auto-updates its .cfg file with your settings on exit. On the other hand, it doesn't change system registry settings, create files on the HDD without permission, or need DLLs to run.

Once launched, the utility creates an icon in the system tray area and sits there silently without interrupting your normal desktop activity with balloon messages. It provides access to its configuration panel, where you can preview the right-click menu and move a slider to adjust its opacity, or enter a numerical value ranging from 0 to 255.

The change is applicable with one click, so you can open the context menu anywhere on the desktop to check results. If you're not satisfied with the level of transparency, you can go back to the app for further tweaks. Just keep in mind that the context menu opacity is preserved as long as the application runs in the systray.

Although it hasn't received updates for a long time, no errors popped up and the program didn't freeze or crash on newer Windows models in our tests. Unsurprisingly, it left a small footprint on system resources
