Search engines are the common method of public transportation over the web, providing suggestions of websites based on your query. There are an abundance of engines available, some more accurate than others. In case you’re interested in results from different such engines, then Twin Searching can help you out.

Needless to say that one of the main requirements here is an active Internet connections, since the application is specialized in looking up queries online. No particular web browsers need to be installed on your PC, because the program displays results in the one you use as a default options to go online.

The visual design is minimalistic, with a custom texture used for background and buttons. A couple of rows let you select the two search engines you want to use, while the text string of interest goes inside the upper field. Dedicated buttons help you clear query and selected engines to easily start a new search operation from scratch.

The two search engine columns have different engines, such as About, all the web, altavista, ASK, dogpile, Google, LYCOS, metacrawler, MSN, WebCrawler, and Yahoo. Note, however, that the lack of recent updates left it a bit behind with engine code search methods, as well as the existence of particular engines.

You need to carefully choose which engines to use, and chances are even Google results fail to display because of the lack of recent updates to the application. If successful, your default web browser shows up with a split-screen mode, with a movable delimiter. Both results are shown in the same tab and navigation window.

Taking everything into consideration, we can state that Twin Searching could have made a pretty good impression if it wasn’t for the lack of updates to search codes and engines used in the process. However, most of them still work, with the result readable by most web browsers out there, and displayed in a neat, split-screen mode.
